As Mayor, Shneur would have major input into the Greater Manchester Spatial Framework (GMSF).
Shneur believes that the GMSF is a badly thought out, undemocratic plan. It was introduced by an unelected Interim Mayor, and it is not what the people of Greater Manchester want.
It is a clear attempt by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority to pool power, and usurp it away from Local Authorities.
Shneur promises that when elected Mayor, the current GMSF plans will be scrapped, and a full consultation will be launched. This consultation will focus on hearing the opinions of local people, the people who have to live with these far-reaching changes, and to look at possible alternatives to building on our protected Green Belt land.
